In order to participate at a CFRA event you must be invited (sponsored) by a current member of CFRA, or apply for admission by sending an email request to the Registration Director at registration (at) cfra.net.

Event Details:

See the Buttonwillow Info link above for track and hotel information and for directions. Please note that for 2006 we will be switching to the Homeland Inn in Buttonwillow as the "official" hotel for the event. In addition, some people will be staying at Harris Ranch on the way home after the event. See below for hotel group rate details. (Of course, you can stay wherever you like.)

Hotel Group Rate Information

Pre-Event Hotel Information

The official CFRA hotel for 2006 is the Homeland Inn (map) in Buttonwillow.

We have a block of 10 rooms (20 until one week prior to our arrival). Please make reservations at least one week prior to Thursday, May 18th. Tell them you are with CFRA. The Inn will provide a continental breakfast and let us use the poolside area for dinner. The cost including tax will be $43.67 for a double and $35.95 for a single. There are also two suites available for $58.29 per night.

Post-Event Hotel Information

Some members stay the night at the Harris Ranch hotel resort afterwards. A block of 15 rooms has been reserved under #2S18TR or Checkered Flag Racing Association for the night of May 19th with a special rate of $99.

To get to Harris Ranch from Buttonwillow Raceway, drive north about 65 miles on I-5, and take the 198 exit east (W. Dorris Ave.). The Harris Ranch restaurant and hotel is the first side street on the right.

Pre-Event Dinner Information

On the evening before the event, we will arrange for a group meal such as pizza or BBQ at 7PM at the hotel pool area. (Details TBD.)

Post-Event Dinner Information

The post event dinner will be held at Harris Ranch, just over an hour north of the track on I-5. Dinner is in the courtyard at 7PM (this time may change to 6:30 PM, depending on a rehearsal dinner taking place at the restaurant). It's fairly expensive, but is a treat after a hard day on the track.
